Colby grew up on the East Coast, though she now regards herself as more of a Texan, according to an interview with Adult DVD Talk's Captain Jack. "I grew up in a small town, was very studious, and hung out with all the eccentric weirdos," she told VBlogPorn. Like many stars, she started out in the industry as a cam performer before making the jump to outright porn shoots. She signed with LA Direct Models initially before self-booking and then joining the Nexxxt Level agency in November 2019. She chose her stage name because it was cute, easy to pronounce, and was SEO-friendly. (Her earlier porn name was much more cumbersome to pronounce and spell: Nadya Nabakova.)

As suits her name, Bunny is very much into animals, having worked in animal rescue. Despite her seemingly wild life on camera, Colby describes herself as a very low-key person when off the set. "I'm a homebody, so I just spend a ton of time chilling with my cats and doing stuff around the house. I also really like art/making things and have recently gotten back into embroidery and weaving," she told Die-Screaming in a 2018 interview.
