Verta knew her entire life exactly who she was, what she wanted to be, and apologized to no one for being herself and working hard to turn her dream of becoming a porn star into reality. After sharing her aspirations with her family, she set out to learn everything she could about the industry she knew she wanted desperately to be a part of.
Once Verta's mind was made-up, she began "obsessively researching the adult industry," reading and absorbing everything she could about the business, the people, and how to become successful in an industry that typically sees such high turnaround. She began using Twitter to establish herself, as well as to seek out work, and it quickly paid off allowing her the opportunity to make the move she yearned for. She packed up her belongings and made the long drive from White Bear Lake, MN to Yuba City, CA. When friends and acquaintances asked why she was making the move, she openly responded, "porn," to which they knowingly smiled and said, "That's so Verta."
Shortly after she arrived on the west coast, she discovered a new reality show in pre-production that promised to make a porn star out of the winner. She applied and was offered an audition, where she discovered that reality television was not something she wanted to be a part of, but did give her the opportunity to network with an agent in attendance. Upon her very impressive audition that wowed the judges, the agent promised her a contract and a career in porn. It wasn't until weeks later that the African-American, French, Irish, and Mexican beauty was able to get in touch with the agent again, who then told her he wouldn't be able to get her work because she "didn't have the right look."
Undaunted, Verta pushed ahead and was able to begin booking on her own and finally achieved her dream of becoming an adult performer.
Before entering the business, Verta briefly attended art school, and to this day still spends her free time satisfying her desire to express through art, honing her skills as a photographer. She also enjoys touring museums and spending time at the beach.
