Midwestern cutie April Brookes had a typical small town upbringing, and while attending her local high school, she got her start in the workforce serving as a waitress, a cashier at McDonald's, and as an assistant at a nursing home. It wasn't until she began performing as a dancer that she began formulating what it was she wanted to do with her life.
Brookes states she's always had an interest in porn, but while dancing at her neighborhood strip club after high school graduation, she noticed the attention and interest feature dancers received from the audience when they came through town and it piqued her interest. According to Brookes, the feature dancers and porn stars that would visit her club were "always interesting," and had "a lot of stories," which inspired her to give performing on camera a try. Once she built up the courage to give it a try, she found that she loved the experience and the next thing she knew, she was picking up and making the move to the west coast to perform full-time!
