Brooke Lee Adams grew up in a very conservative, religious household. She was home schooled until high school and describes herself as meek as a child. She participated in debate and drama in both high school and college, and studied symphonic piano and viola. Additionally, Adams was involved in dressage, track and field, and cross country running. She attended the University of Southern California in San Diego where she majored in Biochemistry and minored in Visual Arts. She had an internship with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and acquired an education in infectious disease and AIDS on the ground in the southern African country of Swaziland.
Adams began appearing in XXX movies in 2008 when she was 22 years old. She got her start by answering an ad in the Penny saver; in her own words, "... I started out behind the camera and somehow ended up in front of the camera." Since her debut, Adams has performed in more than 100 films that span a variety of genres, including hardcore, anal, lesbian, solo masturbation, and interracial. With her mixed ethnicity - she's British and Persian - Adams had no trouble moving from behind the camera to a feature position on set.
